Had a fantastic time during 2010 Daniel Smith Days at Historic Rock Castle in Hendersonville. Shown in this post is the GGGGG Grandson of James Franklin stepping back in time during the re-enactment of Colonial days in the Cumberland. A wonderful event held each Fall at Rock Castle. This author's agenda was to give her children a taste of history with the hope the history bug will bite them as hard as it has bitten me. Thanks to K & J Nyberg!
Capt. James Franklin 1755-1828 was an original land grant settler of Sumner County Tennessee. His grave site is in decay near his homestead. We will lose this slice of history if it is not preserved. This blog is dedicated to advocate and promote awareness for the grave site preservation. Use the search option right if you are looking for specifics. This is an amateur blog. I welcome any and all clarification or corrections. Please comment.
